Dear Members
I hope this finds you well and looking forward to the warmer weather!
I thought I would update you on what is going on at the Soper Hall. We have been very busy fundraising for our much-needed disabled facilities adjacent to the Memorial Hall which included our very popular “Evening with David Gold”. Thanks to this and other events, we have very nearly raised enough to start on this project and so are currently advertising for quotes and are hoping works will start in the next few months.
We have also been successful in being the biggest beneficiary for the latest round of the Tesco Bags of Help funding. This great news means that we have been awarded £4,000 to spend on crucial repairs to potholes in our car park and outside lighting.
The Soper Hall website is in the process of being revamped and we have a more modern, new logo. You can see the new logo at the top of this newsletter. Any feedback gratefully received!
We are also very excited to be one of the beneficiaries of the newly launch Tandridge Lottery. Please do go online to support us at: https://www.tandridgelottery.co.uk/
In addition, this year we are beneficiaries for the Caterham Carnival so please, please support us and come along to the Caterham Carnival Black Tie Ball. This fantastic event with an ‘80’s theme is being held at the Surrey National Golf Club. Tickets are £45 each and available by contacting Hayleigh on
The fundraising doesn’t stop, and we have some brilliant events coming up in the coming months to help us with projects such as making repairs to the parquet flooring and replacing our old and rotting windows.
